I was self-studying for several months and started to join Kazumi Japanese & Culture School’s Japanese Language Course. What really made the difference was how my teacher explained grammar through real cultural examples. Classes were leisurely, warm and full of discussion. I learnt hiragana, katakana, basic kanji, and common Japanese conversation patterns. The school treated us to cultural immersion sessions of learning polite speech and Japanese etiquette. This class gave me a lot of confidence to have basic conversation-level exchanges with Japanese co-workers.

My dream was to move to Japan for better tech roles, but I had no idea about the language requirements. I found exactly what I was looking for in Kazumi’s Migrate to Japan program. The trainers here were helpful and taught me the basics of JLPT, office etiquette, visa-related conversation and daily Japanese to survive. Within months, I was ready emotionally, not just linguistically. Because of the well-organised training here, I passed my language requirement as well and got a job interview call from a Tokyo company. This course really shifted the trajectory of my life.

I work in an automotive company, and I deal with Japanese clients on a daily basis. Therefore, I joined Kazumi’s Japanese for Work program. I was impressed with its industry-specific training. My teacher taught me formal ways to write emails, how to act at meetings, specialised company terms and keigo for business. We rehearsed pseudo-presentations and dialogue of negotiation. I stopped relying on a translator for the first time after the course. I can now talk directly with our Japanese partners. This class is extremely beneficial for working with Japan.

Studying Japanese in a more advanced way was my goal, and I entered the Kazumi masters’, which is a master’s in Japanese Course. I was fascinated by the academic curriculum and so many accessible faculty. Our trainer, a linguistics professional for many years, took us through translation studies, advanced kanji, sociolinguistics and Japanese literature. The programme has greatly influenced my critical thinking and enhanced my translation skills. Now I feel confident enough and am applying for language specialist roles in publishing houses and MNCs. Not only did this program enhance my knowledge, but it also shaped the trajectory of my career.

I read a write-up about kaizen and lean while pursuing an MBA, and I actually admire Japanese work culture. The Japanese Management Course at Kazumi changed the way I look at what leading by example means. Our instructor taught us the Japanese business philosophy, team-playing ethics, conflict-free meetings and communication and a series of decision-making structures. Actual cases of Toyota, Sony and Shiseido were investigated. This one helped me implement small changes within my team, and productivity is a lot better now. It wasn’t simply a matter of the language — it was an issue of mindset. I am much more focused and grounded in my profession now.

I had to pass JFT for my new job relocation. Kazumi Japanese & Culture School’s preparation classes were the best help I got. The training concentrated on real test patterns, timed activities, listening and grammar correction. The numbers in the mock tests were pretty much like those on the real exam. I also liked that they featured mistakes Indian learners make. Within two months, I was totally exam-ready. When I finally took the test, it was like déjà vu all over again, and I passed on the first try. This wouldn’t have been possible without Kazumi.

I joined the Japanese Language Course because my daughter wanted me to learn a new language with her. Our trainer made our session a memorable one through games, tiny storytelling sessions and Japanese songs to teach us our vocabulary and kanji. I never knew learning a new language could be this painless. I can now read basic signs, say hello and recognise cultural cues. The bonus is sharing notebooks and homework with my daughter. This class brought joy, learning and connection to my life.

I panicked when my company partnered with a Japanese manufacturing firm, and the language barrier was impacting our project. That’s when I signed up for the Japanese for Work course that Kazumi offers. The trainer was able to adapt the course using our jargon. We did examples of typical workplace contexts — agreeing on meeting times, confirming needs, and checking details. I felt comfortable when communicating with Japanese people after the course. It boosted my confidence, and I also gained better responsibility at work. This training makes my team more valuable.

I joined a career program in Japan, and I was looking to take the JFT exam. The JFT course at Kazumi coached me step-by-step — grammar, reading comprehension, situations and all the daily use words you could think of. The instructor was very polite and went over things to the point where I understood everything. Being able to see my progress on a weekly basis with the mock exams. I am happy to report that I passed my exam with flying colours! Now I’m getting ready for the steps towards Japan, and this course has been my strongest support.

As a team manager, I wanted to combine structured Japanese management while working with the anime-loving geeks, so I pursued Kazumi’s Japanese Management (JM). The coach taught us about kaizen, kanban and Japanese conflict-resolution processes. We would even practise real-world business Japanese, and it helped me understand the cultural nuances of communication. I felt a shift in my leadership mindset — greater patience and empathy, more structured thinking. This class transformed me as a manager and as someone sensitive to the culture.

I took the Japanese Language Course at Kazumi Japanese & Culture School after marathon-watching Japanese dramas, wishing to know what people were saying without subtitles. I was most surprised at how patient and kind our trainer was. She incorporated real-life situations that made learning practical and fun. I slowly improved my speaking and even started Japanese! This course taught me not only a language but also opened up a culture that I now appreciate. Now, I will be better equipped for future travel and potential work in Japan.

My desire to migrate to Japan seemed impossible until I joined the Migrate to Japan program by Kazumi Japanese & Culture School. The trainers went over everything — language basics, cultural etiquette, visa stipulations, and workplace communication. The best preparation was the mock interviews that matched the Japanese corporate culture. I also learnt to write a real Japanese résumé and adapt to the work culture. Right now, I feel like I have the state of mind and language capability to start thinking about getting out of here to Japan. This training provided clarity, direction and confidence where I previously feared the journey!

I am glad that I have experienced the master’s in the Japanese course at Kazumi Japanese & Culture School. I was hoping to acquire a deep knowledge in order to start working as a translator, and the program was better than expected. Our instructors were certified and taught us advanced grammar, historical linguistics, classical Japanese and translation. We did real translation work with articles from magazines and business documents, which helped me improve my level and speed. The structured approach and handy mentors helped me realise how enormous & beautiful the language is. I’m feeling ready to jump into Japanese interpretation full-time now.

My company gave me an opportunity to work together with a Japanese client, but I was not very confident in business conversations. That’s when I enrolled at Kazumi in their Japanese for Work course. My trainer had taught us business words and idioms (covering such things as email exchanges or formal expressions) and how to behave in meetings. Within a few weeks, my clarity and politeness in Japanese skyrocketed. This program made me ready to work and more trusted in my office.

I decided to take the JFT Exam Preparation Course at Kazumi since I required the certification for Japan immigration. The school had a brilliant technique which included teaching grammar revision, past year papers, speaking drills and vocabulary boosters. The tutor broke down our areas of weakness and provided targeted practice, which improved my fundamentals. I was well prepared on time. I passed the test on my first attempt. This course not only prepared me academically but also gave me the confidence to move into my next phase of my Japan journey.

I worked in export-import and dealt with Japanese suppliers daily. I learnt industry language through the Japanese for Workplace course at Kazumi. We were taught professional greetings, formal sentence formations, and customer handling phrases. The highlight was role play in live business scenarios. Now, I can speak with confidence and respect, which has improved our international route planning. This class was an instant game-changer for me and helped me to add more value in bridging the team together between two nations.

I enrolled in a Japanese language course at Kazumi Japanese & Culture School, as my team in Bangalore started working with a Japanese client. The structured instruction, the cultural references and the real conversations in Japanese seemed a little less daunting afterwards. And it’s all thanks to my trainer, who was incredibly patient and never laughed at me when I said things incorrectly. At the end of the N4 level, I can introduce myself, greet people in the office and read some basic kanji. This course has impacted my IT operations role, as I am now being assigned projects in Japan.

I had long dreamed of working in Tokyo, but the move seemed daunting. Everything changed with the “Migrate to Japan” program of Kazumi Japanese & Culture School. The counsellors helped me work through visa types, job lines and JLPT qualifications. These were the years when we had teachers who really had lived and worked in Japan. They taught us workplace etiquette, interview manners and the cultural mores that do matter. I also built my language base by attending their N5 and N4 parallel sessions. Now I am linguistically and job-wise ready to chase a life in Japan. Taking this course was the game-changer in my migration adventure.

When my company joined hands with a Japanese auto company, I had to be practical about it to learn it. The “Japanese for Work” program at Kazumi was exactly what I had been looking for. Our instructor had mock meetings, wrote sample emails to get feedback, answered phone calls and role-played from the corporate world! I learnt keigo, business etiquette and formal ways to respond. Within two months, I was confident of having joint calls.

I am the owner of a small factory in Pune and have always been fascinated by Japanese management systems. At Kazumi School, the Japanese Management Course taught me about Kaizen, 5S, leadership philosophy and decision-making models – in the Japanese way. Our trainer had more than 10 years of experience in Osaka and taught us the fundamental practices that can be used for Indian industry. I brought 5S to my workshop, and the productivity went up in weeks. This class was not only about management, but it changed the way I manage my team.” A deeply enriching experience.

I enrolled in Kazumi School because I loved anime when I was in school. This curiosity has turned into a full-fledged passion. Our curriculum was hands-on, entertaining and packed with culture-based stories. My trainer didn’t want us to fear speaking, so she did games and flashcards and little skit dramas we could play out. Hiragana felt like magic, as if I was unlocking a whole new world. I can now understand quite a lot of anime without any subtitles. The course brought me a new hobby and a new gang of friends. I can’t wait to go on to N4.

I enrolled in the Japanese Language Course at Kazumi Japanese & Culture School after my cousin moved to Tokyo, and I thought, ‘Why not give a new language a try?’ The most surprising thing was that the sessions were more engaging than I had anticipated; our trainer mixed grammar drills with anime references, travel situations, and cultural anecdotes. Within a few weeks, I was able to introduce myself and read simple hiragana without looking too nervous. The structured study plan offered by the school and speaking practice circles helped me overcome my fear of saying a word wrong. This course wasn’t just teaching me Japanese, but it was opening up my view of the world. And now I dare to dream of visiting Japan for the cherry blossom season.

My IT company gave me a project in Japan. Prior to joining, I had concerns with cultural acclimation and language basics. So I had to learn the Japanese language. It was all over for Kazumi Japanese & Culture School. Our teacher was good about teaching us Japanese words like “orjo” (workplace), etiquette, casual conversation and survival phrases like “I don’t know what you just asked me.” The mock interviews and cultural orientation were very helpful. Now I am ready and confident, as opposed to tired. I wasn’t just learning from this course but was also inspired. Now I can start a second life in Japan cheerfully.

Even after getting to grips with Japanese basics, I found it hard to speak freely. Our trainer pressed us to speak only Japanese with real-life exercises such as interviews, coffee shop banter, workplace gossip and social introductions. By attending weekly group speaking circles, I became comfortable opening up. I first felt like I could think in Japanese. I learnt more from this course in terms of fluency than from any other resource I tried.

I attended the Japanese Management Course out of curiosity for Japan’s work culture. This training session ended up being one of the most life-changing experiences. The instructor lectured on kaizen, lean management, 5S and teamwork principles as well as the Japanese leadership philosophy, with actual company case studies. I used some of the ideas in my office and found positive changes in the discipline, work culture, etc. This class was an eye-opener to me in terms of managing the way I look in person, team leadership and productivity. Sessions were just not about management but a way of thinking.
