The 5Ss (workplace organization method), a rough translation from the original Japanese terms, stand for Sort (SEIRI), Set in Order (SEITON), Shine (SEISO), Standardize (SEIKETSU), and Sustain (SHITSUKE). • With this 5S Certification Training, participants will be able to transform their workspace from a cramped, disorderly, & cluttered area to a clean, organized, and highly functional space.
• They will be trained to go through each of the concepts of 5S on their own or as part of a team.
• They will be trained to go through each of the concepts of 5S on their own or as part of a team.
• Starting with Sorting, students who complete this training will be proficient to use the 48-hour rule to remove clutter and distracting items from the immediate work area.
• Then they will be able to create designated locations for everything based on how often it is used in the Set in Order stage.
• The Shine stage help participants learn how to focus on not only an initial deep cleaning of the workspace but will also help them develop an approach for keeping the area clean in the future.
